Weighill's talk focused on dealing with the negative effects of social media and its instantaneous reach to a wide audience.
"It's [social media] changed the face of how almost every entity does business," said Weighill, adding that widespread communication raises a lot of serious issues such as bullying and intimidation.
"It's anonymous and people can put all kinds of comments on social media whether they're true or not. And naturally, as an organization, business or person, you're trying to refute some things that have been put online if they're not true . . . ."
