She recalls details of her childhood with vivid clarity – from being caught as a little girl climbing over the dog runs to holding a part of a dog’s small intestine while her father sutured.
She completed a BSc in biomedical physiology at Simon Fraser University before coming to the WCVM. One of the things that she appreciates most about her education and veterinary medicine is that there’s no end to the number of paths her career could take in the future.
An enthusiastic researcher who loves puzzles and mysteries, Westendorf is considering a career in veterinary pathology.
