WCVM admissions team hits the road

The Western College of Veterinary Medicine’s (WCVM) admissions and recruitment team has been out on the road meeting with pre-veterinary students and talking about the ins and the outs of applying to the WCVM.

Here is the WCVM team’s full fall schedule (some dates and times to be added):

Manitoba pre-veterinary presentations

  • Sept. 17: Brandon University at 12:00 p.m. – CLC Boardroom #9, Knowles-Douglas Building
  • Sept. 18: University of Winnipeg at 12:00 p.m. – Room 3M62, Manitoba Hall
  • Sept. 18: University of Manitoba at 5:00 p.m. – Room 207, Buller Building

Alberta pre-veterinary presentations

  • Sept. 24: University of Calgary at 5:00 p.m. – Room ST 129 (Science Theatres)
  • Oct. 11: University of Alberta at 4:30 p.m. – Room 1-003, NREF (Natural Resources Engineering Facility)

British Columbia pre-veterinary presentations

  • Oct. 16: University of Victoria at 4:00 p.m. – Room 110, Harry Hickman Building
  • Oct. 17: Simon Fraser University at 11:30 a.m. – Room B9242, SCB (Shrum Biology Building)
  • Oct. 17: University of British Columbia at 5:00 p.m. – Room 207, SCRF (Neville Scarfe Building)

Saskatchewan pre-veterinary presentations

  • Oct. 10: University of Saskatchewan (U of S) – 4:30 pm – Room 2115, WCVM (Western College of Veterinary Medicine)
  • Nov. 5: University of Regina at 6:30 pm – Room 125, Classroom Building

The team will also be at some high school career fairs this fall:

  • Sept. 26: Chinook School Division Career Expo in Swift Current, Sask.
  • Sept. 28: U of S Open House – offering two one-hour sessions at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.
  • Oct. 3: Opportunities Edge in Muenster, Sask.
  • Oct. 24: Opening Doors to Tomorrow in Prince Albert, Sask.
  • Oct. 26: Indigenous Spend a Day at the U of S from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
