Vet school facilitates friendship

Brigitte Hautcouer of Regina, Sask. and Robyn Trischuk, of Prince Albert, Sask. became fast friends at veterinary school.

Brigitte was accepted into the WCVM after two years of undergraduate studies at the Univeristy of Saskatchewan (U of S). She was inspired to become a veterinarian as a little girl, after a veterinarian saved the life of her family’s dog. She’s leaning toward a career in equine medicine.

Robyn was a U of S biology student for three years before becoming a vet student. She loves working with dogs and horses and plans to eventually work in a mixed practice where she can have the best of both worlds.

Robyn and Brigitte met at the WCVM the week before classes started in their first year. They have been close friends ever since.
