Escaped black cat missing on USask campus

The Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) is asking for the public’s assistance in finding a black cat named “George” that escaped from his owner’s arms outside of the college’s Veterinary Medical Centre on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

George, a neutered male cat, is three years old and completely black other than a small amount of white fur on his belly. The cat also has a cut on his right ear.

George was last seen on Tuesday afternoon near Veterinary Road on the east side the WCVM building. Since then, hospital staff have been searching for the cat and have set up kennels and live traps in the surrounding area.

The WCVM has also alerted the university’s Protective Services in case someone reports a sighting of George on campus.

If anyone spots a black cat on or near the university campus, please contact 306-966-7126 (Small Animal Clinic reception) as soon as possible.
